Bought for my the planet, love it for the feel!

"I get it, I fell for the marketing. While plant based, the bristles ultimately are castor oil-based which ends up being nylon which also releases micro plastics. But… when you replace the head, snap off the bottom little section that connects the head to the brush. With pliers pull out the bristles at the base. Now you’d just have bamboo which you can return to the woods. I saved the best part for last. I already regularly have used an electric toothbrush. When I switched to Kaylaan ,and their toothpaste, my teeth feel like the day you leave the dentist after a cleaning. They feel amazing."

I really wanted to love

"I really wanted to love this, however the unfinished wooden brush handle is very hard on the lining of my mouth. It caused sores. I need to return my kit."

"I liked every flavor except the neem. The neem tablets straight up taste like bile and I'd give them a 0 if I could. But the other flavors are nice so I'll be buying full sizes of them soon."

Love the toothbrush, although the

"Love the toothbrush, although the bamboo heads aren't exactly smooth. It's not like they're splintery, they just have grain that minutely sticks on the inside of one's mouth. I like the concept of the toothpaste tablets and will probably continue to order the strawberry. It does have an odd aftertaste that I will get used to. Haven't tried the mint because I just don't like mint. I'll probably give it away. I wish there was a way to get a starter kit with a different flavor, but this way I can share with a friend."

Helps to make the right purchase later on

"Extremely happy they offer these trial packs. I have only tried the mint version because that's all a local refillery had for purchase. Since they no longer offer Kaylaan tablets, I was forced to go online. Out of the five flavors, two are definites, one is iffy, and two others are not a chance. They all lather about the same, though a couple seem more light in their froth. My preference, from best to worst: mint, cinnamon (both are flavors you would expect a toothpaste to be), watermelon, strawberry (the former is a mild flavor while the latter is too strong), neem (ugh, it has a taste that I can only describe as dirt, but which they tried to cover up with a slight minty (?) flavor; it's gross. :-) There were a dozen tablets in each pack, which means I have a couple weeks before deciding which flavor to subscribe to: mint or cinnamon. :-)"

"whoever packed my order added little notes abt some of the flavors which was super helpful!"

Great to try options

"Mint is our favorite. Surprisingly, though, we liked all of them. . . including the cinnamon! The flavors are not overpowering or artificial. Our teeth feel very clean. We especially like that these tabs are foamier than other brands. As a side note, we were sent a free sample of the Neem flavor (non-flouride)-- hard pass."

Each of these tablets provide

"Each of these tablets provide enough foam to comfortably brush and leave my teeth feeling clean, so from a practical standpoint they work well. Note this pack also includes 15 non-flouride neem toothpaste tablets. Besides the neem, which has a tolerable bitter herbal flavor, I'd prefer all these flavors to be stronger and longer-lasting. The worst of these is the mint, ironic for a staple flavor. The mint only lasts about 2 seconds before giving way to the tablet's own chalky, slightly cheesy flavor. I liked the watermelon the best, as it was light but long-lasting and refreshing. If they can strengthen the flavors I think they'd have a very good toothpaste."

"Our household is swapping out our everyday items for more sustainable options and this was one of the first! It's a great product that leaves my teeth feeling super clean without the overwhelming mint “burn” of tube toothpaste. I love the bamboo brush but beware if you aren't used to soft-bristles as it did give me some gum pain the first couple uses. We will definitely end purchasing again!"
